So what even is this?
Most fantasy games make you draft individual players and babysit them every week. Team Sports Fantasy flips it. You draft whole teams across a season of real sport, then follow them all the way.
It's team sports only: basketball, American football, baseball, ice hockey, football and handball. When your Champions League pick reaches the final, or your national side goes deep at the Handball Championship, you score.

Blue = rotates. The FIFA World Cup runs every 4 years; the Euros, AFCON and the Handball Championships on a 2-year cycle. Each season fields around 16 competitions, so the exact line-up shifts year to year.

Draft night, explained
This is the fun bit (Drafts mode). Your league gathers, in a living room or on a video call, and takes turns picking. It's a snake draft, which sounds fancy but just means the order reverses each round so nobody is stuck picking last every time.
When you're on the clock, you can grab any team from any competition you haven't filled yet. Take the obvious favourite, or gamble on a dark horse before someone else snatches it. By the end, everyone has one team in every competition, and no two players share a single one.
Rookie mistake: blowing all your best picks on football. There are around 16 competitions and only the strong finishers score in each, so spread your bets and don't sleep on the sports nobody else is watching.
Pro tip: build a shortlist before draft night and rank the teams you want per competition. When you're on the clock with 30 seconds and everyone's watching, you'll thank yourself.
How you score points
Points come from real-world results. The deeper your team goes and the higher it finishes, the more you bank. Here's the shape of a typical cup:
The golden rule: only the top 16 finishers score. Crash out early and that pick is worth nothing, so a steady team that always makes the second week can quietly out-earn a flashy one that flames out. Exact numbers vary by competition, but the winner-takes-25 shape holds.

Once the draft is done you barely have to lift a finger, because the season does the work. Standings update as real results roll in. The forum fills with gloating and heartbreak.
